Franklin Aaron
14u Coach
Coach Franklin is currently in his 20th year coaching. He believes in using sports to help build the self confidence of the athlete to not only better them on the field, but better them in life. While Coach Franklin has seen plenty of success, he makes sure to teach the value of being a good winner or loser. He knows that the discipline and control that we learn on the field will prepare the kids for success in life. Coach Franklin breeds a family atmosphere and pushes the kids to be better for themselves and for their teammates. He firmly believes that we can do anything that we put our mind to and teaches that philosophy to the kids. Coach Franklin believes in hard work, self discipline, and developing the leaders of tomorrow.
Heather Doughty
16u Coach
Heather was an All County catcher at Sachem High School. Following high school, she was a member of an East Coast Conference championship team at Hofstra University. She has a master’s degree in Social Work. For the past 5 years, she has been coaching
youth softball at the recreational and travel levels. Heather has a strong belief in building fundamental skills while fostering a love of the game. She is excited to be a part of the Empire organization and to work with this group of girls.
Matt Lipack
14u Coach
Coach Matt starting coaching softball in 2015. He was given a directors seat on the East Meadow Girls Softball board in 2016. He has led East Meadow to multiple league and tournament championships in the USSSA, NYSA and SSA leagues. In 2022 Coach Matt was named director of USA Softball for Long Island. Coach is excited to teach the game of softball and we are happy to have him at Empire.
